Consisting of carts, racks, and mobile carriages that move on rails, the system is designed to help you and your team harvest more efficiently while also preserving plant quality.

The concept is simple: Hang plants once and they remain in place during harvest, transport, and drying. By eliminating unnecessary handling, the system helps keep plants’ molecular structures intact, which reduces terpene and THC degradation. It results in lower labor costs, a more valuable yield, and higher revenues.

The GROW Drying Mobile System is fully adjustable to optimize space in drying rooms while also promoting proper air circulation among hanging plants. Spacesaver’s GROW Drying Rack is mounted on GROW carriages to eliminate idle aisles.

Rail systems guide GROW carriages to optimize space, provide access to aisles, facilitate smooth carriage movement, and are designed to resist corrosion. Rail options include recessed and surface mount. The rails can be placed on leveled or unleveled floors and include anti-tip options.

RAIL OPTIONS:

Floorless Surface Mount Rail

Surface rails can be placed on top of existing floors. Smooth carriage movement is assured due to staggered joints that provide smooth transitions throughout the room.

  • For corrosion resistance, options include extruded aluminum alloy base with zinc-coated hardened steel bar, stainless steel, or zinc-coated steel
  • Top of rail extends a maximum of .5” (12.7mm) above floor surface meeting ADA requirements
  • Anti-tip option available

Recessed Rail

Recessed rails can be installed into new or existing flooring. Smooth carriage movement is assured due to staggered joints that provide smooth transitions throughout the room.

CARRIAGE:

Assembled structural steel carriage base with a maximum capacity of 3000 lbs. (1,360kg) per carriage section. Low-profile wheels are part of our patented drop-in wheel assemblies that disperse weight and can accommodate heavy loads with minimal wear over the life of the system with mounting the system just 4" (102mm) from the floor. The carriage is constructed with diagonal cross bracing that provides increased alignment to reduce the risk of racking at extended lengths with heavy loads. Carriage components are painted with powder-coat paint with an optional antimicrobial paint to reduce the amount of steel exposed to harsh environments and help mitigate rust accumulation.

Mode of Operation

Mechanical Assist system operation control allows staff to move thousands of pounds safely and easily with minimal effort.

Aisle Widths

When planning aisle space for a bank of carriages, consider the sizing of equipment needed to access upper levels during planting/harvesting as well as the turning radius needed to access the aisle. Additionally, check local accessibility regulations (ADA) and fire codes for minimum standards and requirements.

VERTICAL RACKING

Our GROW Drying shelving is fully adjustable using Vertical posts and T-bars to optimize space in drying rooms while also promoting proper air circulation among hanging plants. Easy knock-down upright construction for cleanability. GROW White paint is designed for UV exposure and humid environments, with high reflectivity, excellent color fastness, and antimicrobial properties.

Dimensions:

  • Uprights are available from 60” (152.4cm) to 192” (487.6cm) tall, adjustable on 1 ½” (3.81cm) increments.
    • Single Tiered Systems will range from 60” (152.4cm) to 132” (335.2cm) tall.
    • Two-Tiered Systems will range from 132” (335.2cm) to 192” (487.6cm) tall (with this Revit model starting at 133.5” (339cm).
  • Upright depths are only available in 24” (60.9cm) or 48” (121.9cm).
  • Beam design offers configured sizes in 12” (30.4cm) increments between 48” (121.9cm) and 96” (243.8cm) in length.

Vertical Posts:

Add, remove, or move these vertical posts depending on the width of clipping.

T-Bars:

Adjustable on 1 ½” (3.81cm) increments for clippings of any length.

Catch Trays:

Catch trays are not load-bearing and are placed at the bottom of all racking underneath the vertical supports to catch fallen plant material. Easy to remove and clean.

Catch trays are offered in 24" (60.9cm) or 48" (121.9cm) depths to match the carriage and shelving depths. In both of these depths, they are offered in widths of 12” (30.4cm) or 24” (60.9cm) depending on the section length.
